They do get warm to touch (no where near as hot as the halogen ones) and are quite bright for only 2w used. So far very pleased I took a chance on these as they were cheaper then my previously bought LED lighting but have proved just as reliable. The 5 year guarantee ensures I still have 3 years of trouble free replacements if needed.
